Biewers are a fast growing breed. It is important to be aware what activities your puppy is participating in when he/she is a pup. Some of the "normal" activities could be detrimental to your pups bone development. These would include, jumping off of high places (like the couch and bed), running up and down stairs, slipping or sliding on slick, polished floors or tile floors. Watch for running in deep sand as that can also be damaging to young forming bones. Do not let your pup stand on his/her hind legs for long periods of time (like watching out the window). The Biewer is not a fragile breed and still it is good practice to be attentive to him/her when their precious bones are forming.
